A Cock in the Window
Because I have no life I have been trying to clear some of the books in my DNF files. I call them "my second chance" books, hoping that at second glance, I'll be able to finish them, and maybe even like them better. BUT in the case of this book, it's no dice. The 1st person present tense POV and I do not get along. In fact, it makes me nuts. I don't want to speak with the author. I don't want to hear from the author. I want my fiction. I want to sink into the story and the characters without any interference. If I wanted interference, I have enough with 4 sons, 1 daughter, 5 grandchildren, 2 cats and several pepper plants. So, ah, hum...yeah...
