I should have enjoyed this story better -- it has likable, sweet heroes and tender loving which usually would make me melt, but the constant conflicts based on misunderstandings and the self-sacrificing hero that breaks up or leaves, so that his lover can accomplish his dream (or be safe) are particular pet peeves of mine.
I can understand that these misunderstandings are based on insecurities and a getting-to-know-you, but they were far too frequent and I started to lose patience and interest.
Nevertheless, the author has a good, active writing style that makes for an easy, pleasant read, and I always appreciate that talent in authors. Writing well is not easy, so thank you.
